Basket of “Healthy” Love

My cute hubby is what you would call a ‘health nut.’  He is all about eating healthy, no sweets, and making sure we have good nutrition for our kids.  Now, that is all fine and dandy, but I HAVE to laugh when he tells me that (and I quote) “We are eating so unhealthy.”   If he only knew what ‘unhealthy’ really could be (I have some really SWEET temptations that I would LOVE to give in to :-)) .  I know that some of my fellow Diva’s are LOVERS of sweets too (…AND they give in to those temptations!  Ha, ha!).  {WINK}!

Now, don’t get me wrong, I think being healthy is great and necessary – it’s just a little hard when I am 9 months pregnant and craving SUGAR!  Ha, Ha.  Anyone else been there?  That’s just one difficulty with being married to my husband and those cravings hit – I want ice cream and he says, “Is that really the best for our baby?”  He says it so lovingly that it’s hard to argue with him, but my MIND really wants it 🙂 .  Grrrr!

I wanted to do something cute and healthy for my hubby, so I decided to put together a healthy ‘sweet’ basket to let him know just how much I really appreciate his hard work for our family.  He is the best and I want him to know it  – “Joseph style”.

I came up with the idea to put together a fruit basket (his favorite) with some cute sayings attached to each fruit.  Ex: the bananas in my basket had this attached to it:

“I am just BANANAS for you!”

The fruit you will need for your ‘sweet’ basket are:

  • Grapes
  • Banana
  • Apple
  • Orange
  • Pear

Now I just happen to have a fruit bowl that I L-O-V-E!  However, if you don’t have a perfect bowl like me, I found a really cute basket that would be great!

Just download the cute printable, made by Cheryl and Sherie from Merrymint Designs.  They are SO amazingly talented and I am very grateful to them for designing these tags.  Cheryl and Sherie create fantastic designs on a BUDGET!  What more could you ask for?!  Merrymint Designs, here I come!  Oh yeah, baby!  Thanks again for these adorable tags!

Cut out each saying, and tie it to each fruit with a cute piece of string or ribbon, and wa-la – you have an adorable, healthy basket for your amazing spouse.  What’s even better, this is a quick, inexpensive gift that is just PERFECT for AFTER Christmas!  Yay!
