Progressive Dinner Date

A Dinner on the Move!

Dinner parties are always a great excuse to get together with a group of friends or neighbors. I am usually the host of the majority of parties with my friends. Most of you who are hosts realize how much time, energy, money, and work that goes into entertaining. Hosts don’t get to really enjoy the party or their guests because there is so much stuff to do to make sure everything goes perfectly all night long! I love hosting parties but sometimes I like to sit back and relax too, which is exactly why I am a huge fan of progressive dinner parties, because I get to do both!

  1. Loads of fun! Also, fun to do at Christmas to see friends/neighbors homes. I have done this with each hostess giving each couple a Xmas ornament so everyone goes home with baubles for their trees.

    1. Sue, that is a fabulous idea, so clever! Christmas time gets so busy going here and there trying to make a visit to everyone before the big day. Collecting all of my friends in one place for a Christmas meal would be a life saver! Thanks for the idea! xox

  2. This looks like so much fun, Michelle! I can’t wait to try this with our group of friends 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing your yummy recipes, too!

  3. I used a little of this idea for our date night last Saturday. I made an evite for my husband and let him know that we would be having a Gift Card Progressive dinner. We went to Taco Bell for appetizer, Red Lobster for the entree, and Starbucks for dessert. We used conversation cards at each location and also played trivia crack together while we waited for our seats and food. We ended with 1.67 left on the taco bell card, .14 left on the Red Lobster card which went with the tip, and .04 left on the Starbucks card. The whole night cost gifts cards and $.96 cash. We had a great time and used some gift cards we had in our pockets for a while.

    1. Hi Stephanie, you sound like a creative diva yourself! Love the gift card progressive idea, so clever. What is trivia crack? Thank you for sharing your idea, I can’t wait to hear about your trivia game. xox
