Just wanted to share a fun date my husband took me on…he thought it up all by himself!

I LOVE funky socks.  I’ve got all colors, styles, lengths, fabrics and more.  On Thursday, my husband Mike invited me to a date that would ‘Knock My Socks Off.’  When Saturday came around he handed me a bundle of brand new, funky, and totally awesome socks.  There were five of them.  He said there would be five parts to our date and each sock corresponded with what we would do.  This took some prep on his part because each sock had to possibly count for five things, depending on how I eliminated them.  Each of the five things varied in expense, so there was no way I could randomly pick all the expensive things in a row.

The first sock was dinner.  The sock colors coordinated with our dinner options (red and yellow-Mexican, black with bear-Chinese, etc, etc.).  The next 3 socks were our activiites (go to Barnes and Noble and read all the sock books we could find in the children’s section, go shopping in just our socks, go watch a movie and count the people who are wearing socks, go shopping for new shoes to cover my socks–I really needed new shoes!–, etc, etc.)  The last sock was dessert, and they didn’t have anything to do with socks, per say, but did include all of my favorite places to get yummy treats!  It was so fun….and I got new socks out of it!!  It certainly ‘knocked my socks off!’
