Box of Goodies

I really wanted to find a fun, inexpensive, yet creative gift idea that is actually functional to share this month. Functional, is the gift guideline I follow because if you can’t make use of it regularly it will wind up in the bottom of someone’s sock drawer. Forgotten and unused. So I was jumping with excitement when I cam across this ADORABLE idea from eighteen25 blog! There’s even a version for HER and one for HIM!

This little gift would do wonders for

All you have to do is go to Walmart to pick up all of these items! SUPER easy. Find these boxes in the fishing isle or down the hardware isle (they have a better selection and for whatever reason they are SO much cheaper than on the craft isle). If you are doing the office version of this then keep your eyes peeled because Walmart always has their cute office supplies on clearance! (Just like the ones you see in the picture below.) You can also pick up ribbon, glue dots, scrapbook paper, and alpha stickers while you are at Walmart.

Some fun items to include in this office box: Burt’s Bees Lip Gloss or hand sanitizer, Push Pins, paper clips, magnets and CHOCOLATE! For the complete tutorial on how to make this Box of Goodies, check out eighteen25 blog.

Another version I found would work:

~Fabulous for a HUSBAND~

Envirocraftiness did a really fun rendition of the Box of Goodies created by eighteen25 blog using more practical materials that I thought would work perfectly for anyone…especially if you are wanting to create this for your husband.

This is also one that you can go to Walmart and pick up all of these items in one trip. Convenient and inexpensive. You’ll be able to find plenty of travel sized items as well as a pocket knife in the hunting/fishing section.

Some great items to include in this “Messy Box”: Tide To Go pen, sticky lint roller, travel size deodorant, lip balm, comb, mints, gum, dental floss, toothbrush, toothpaste, Swizz Army Knife (or fabulous knock off), wet wipes, band aids, q-tips, Tylenol (or your husband pain reliever of choice), Decongestants, cough drops, safety pins, and CANDY, of course!

There you have it! These would also be super cute for teacher gifts, friends, family, and so on. Very personalized, creative and inexpensive. Happy gift giving!

  1. I love this! My husband is a lawyer so I went and filled his box with stuff he could use at the office on any given day: mini lint roller, band aids, his favorite candy, beef jerky, cough drops, Tylenol, etc. He loved getting it. 🙂
