I love the A to Z exercise! I think this is an excellent way to reexamine why you appreciate your spouse.
I did this for my boyfriend’s birthday and he loved it! I did it the way another person commented and cut out a separate card for each letter of the alphabet and hid them around the room so he’d have to find the letters in order. Then a put a character trait I loved about him for each letter plus a little description or example and he said it was the sweetest gift he’s ever gotten from anyone. Thank you for the inspiration!
Hi Lindsey! Thanks so much for your sweet comment! We love hearing how our ideas have helped our readers!! XOXO
I’m so exciting about this idea!!!! I’m going away for a few months and my boyfriend is really down about it. I’ve been making him a “Boyfriend Survival Kit” and this will be the perfect addition to remind him that I love him!
Thanks for the great ideas!!!!
I’d love to see some of your lists, always looking for ways I can give compliments, need more synonyms. 🙂
Hey Kathy! For this love note I used the following adjectives: A- awesome, B- brave, C- caring, D- dependable, E- energetic, F- friendly, G- generous, H- humble, I- inquisitive, J- judicious, K- kind, L- loyal, M- musical, N- noble, O- observant, P- positive, Q- “Quite curious,” R- respectful, S- strong, T- trustworthy, U- understanding, V- veracious, W- wonderful, X- eXtra special, Y- “You are my best friend,” Z- amaZing!
Hope that helps! 🙂
what word with Z, anything creative ?
I modified this letter and wrote: amaZing! What a “zany” sense of humor? Or “zest” for life? Let us know what you come up with!
What did you guys use for x im having a problem all i got was x rated lol i dont like that the other things i wrote down are cute.
I cheated on this difficult letter and used “eXtra special”… you could use “eXtraordinary” or “eXemplary husband” too! Let us know what you come up with! 🙂
Hello,
My hubby is aries to the core. Takes it to heart badly. I didnt pick up the phone for a whole night, he was away on a business trip. There was also a “Do you love me?” question I needed to answer right before he boarded the plane.
How do I make this romantic but not cheesy? His equation is mostly “effort = love”, since anything I do with money, he thinks is easy.
Thanks,
Priti
Hi Priti! What about turning this idea into a scavenger hunt? You could leave a little note with each letter/quality sprinkled around the house– I bet he would have fun collecting the whole alphabet! 🙂
Going to do this for my hubby on separate cards and leave them all over the house/his car for his birthday tomorrow!! 🙂 Thanks for the idea!
Buying a little notebook and writing these with small paragraphs on why I appreciate the qualities on each page. Gunna be a great first anniversary gift!
What a WONDERFUL anniversary idea! So cute and meaningful!
I love your site! I found you through Pinterest & I pin your stuff all the time.
This idea is so cute. I’m going to make a list & put it in my husband’s lunch so he will find it at work. 🙂
Oh, I bet he loved the note! 🙂
I just completed my list for my hubby. Thanks for the idea.
That’s awesome, Virginia!
oooh, love this idea! I’m making it a little more complicated and cutting out 26 cards to do the alphabet individually…
That sounds awesome, Ali!
