READY, SET, GLOW!!
 Group dates are my favorite dates! I don’t know if it’s my competitive side or just the good company, but I always come away with a smile on my face.  This group date idea is no exception!  My husband was so excited when I showed him the invitation that he went out and bought a black light kind of like this one! {It was PERFECT!} The printables put our party over the TOP!
 Created by one of our OH-SO talented designers Kiki of Kiki Creates.  This girl is fabulous! {If you need invitations or cards made up, she’s your lady!}

These water bottle wrappers were so easy to do and such a fun surprise for all of our friends. I added our printable label right over the top of the store label.  A little tape on the back and I was good to go!

I cut out this cute printable banner and hung it on our fence to welcome all of our guest to the backyard.  I LOVE everything about this!  It really made it feel like a party.

When I started setting up for the party my kiddos got so excited!  My 2-year-old couldn’t control his joy and he dipped his finger into the cake and enjoyed a big bite of icing. {If you look closely you can see some white on the bottom of the “W”on the word “GLOW”.  I was able to cut it off, but he made his mark.} It was hard for me to tell them it was for “date night,” so I invited them to the party.  {Shhh, don’t tell!} I sent out word to all of our invited couples to bring their kids and make it a family date night.  The more the merrier and I know all of the kids would just LOVE a glow-in-the-dark-party!

There was more than enough food for everyone.  We ate BBQ pork sandwiches, with coleslaw and potato chips {can I have seconds, please?!}  Then we ate cake while we waited for the sun to go down and then the fun really started!

Glow-in-the-Dark Games

I’ve found so many great glow-in-the-dark game ideas it was hard to pick.  Here are a few of the games that I went with.

  • Glow-in-the-Dark Baseball:  This might have been my favorite game of the night!  To play this fun night game you’ll need a big plastic bat, a few wiffle balls (with holes), and a bunch of glow stick bracelets.  Stick 1 or 2 brackets into the holes of the ball to make it glow.  Each team member gets a bracelet to wear.  This was a total blast! I didn’t want to stop playing!

  • Glow-in-the-Dark Bowling: This is super easy and a lot of fun. Simply fill ten 2-liter or half-liter bottles up with water. Activate 10 glow sticks. Put the glow sticks inside the bottles of water. Ta-da, glow-in-the-dark bowling pins! You can use a soccer ball to bowl.
  • Glow-in-the-Dark Ring Toss: This is so simple to put together and tons of fun to play!  Gather 10 or so glow stick necklaces to use as tossing rings.  Next you’ll need a glowing pole.  Use a 2-liter bottle with an activated glow stick inside or tape a glow stick to a stick and push the end into the ground.

  • Glow-in-the-Dark Capture the Flag:  Split the group into 2 teams.   You will need 2 glow sticks of different colors for flags. Each player will need 2 glow bracelets, one for each wrist, the same colors as the flags. One group will wear one color and the other group will wear another.  Hide the glow stick flags and let the games begin! First team to find the other team’s flag wins.

We had such a blast playing in the backyard!  {Even though we didn’t win.} My family keeps asking me when we’re going to play glow-in-the-dark baseball again.
