Couple’s Cafe
Your Dinner + Our Printables = Quick & Fun Dinner Date Night
Are you already planning on making dinner tonight? Perfect! Just print off these super cute printables {below} to go with it, and you have yourself an instant date night. Yep, it’s that easy! Sometimes life gets crazy and we don’t always have time to plan or prepare something super fancy, but it’s the little things that mean the most. Just a few minutes of your time can change your usual, normal dinner routine into a night of fun and flirting with your sweetie in your very own at-home restaurant!
The idea for this dinner date is that you’re going to be turning your dining room into a restaurant for two. Our creative Diva Becca came up with this brilliant idea, and we have updated and added to it to create the perfect print-and-go date night for you! We have some fabulous printables designed by our talented Courtney from the site Paperelli to help you turn your normal meal into a dinner date night for two—you are definitely going to want to pin these ridiculously cuuuute ideas! Just check out everything she created for you:
Your Dinner + Our Flirty Menu = Cozy Café for Two
We’ve hooked you up with your own printable menu and the best part is the PRICES! Instead of using cash, your spouse is going to have to pay in affection! So while a glass of water may only cost him a peck, the salad will add 2 bear hugs to his tab, and the lasagna entrée will set him back 5 passionate kisses. Fun, right?
You can use our menu for a yummy lasagna dinner, or use the blank menu to customize it with your honey’s favorite meal (or whatever you were already planning on cookin’.) See? Totally easy!
Your Spouse + Our Printable Bill = A Night of Huggin’ & Lovin’
At the end of the meal, you’ll be presenting your spouse with their bill to claim what they owe you. Just check off the appropriate boxes in the included check and let them know that tipping is strongly encouraged! {wink, wink}
Your Dining Room + Our Decor Items = An EXTRA Special Meal
If you have a couple extra minutes to spare, why not make it a little more special? Go ahead and pull out your nice dishes, a tablecloth, some music, flowers, and maybe a candle or two. You can add our printable heart rings to fancy napkins (or just paper ones!) to add that special touch. Your love is definitely worth a little extra effort.
Finally, leave this little place card at their place setting to give them a little insight into what you have in store!
* Tip: Can’t get a sitter for the kiddos? Let them in on the fun and ask them to help by being the restaurant servers. Diva Becca did this for Valentine’s Day, and her girls had so much fun getting into character. She dressed them to fit the part with aprons and everything. Her 5-year-old was waiting by the door for-ever for her daddy to come home so she could welcome him to “Cupid’s Cafe.” They had a lot of fun, and they got to see a great example of dating after marriage!
Then after dinner, send those little ones to bed so you can claim what he owes you!! {wink}
Enjoy turning a normal meal into something a little more special! With these printables, it only takes a little more effort to show love to your spouse! Enjoy!
So cute and simple! Love it!
My husband and I head up the Marriage Ministry at our church and we our taking the “Couples Cafe” to a higher level. We are offering a date night at our church! We have 30 couples signed up….we will let you know how it goes! Thanks for the ideas!
How FUN is that, Laura?! We just love that you are doing that! Definitely let us know how it goes. 🙂
Oh, that’s sounds so cute, I have got to try this out tonight…
Yay! Let us know how it goes. 🙂
wow. thats a good idea. i never thought to have a cafe menu and to have him pay with sentimental tokens. i am going to try that when my honey comes home this year… he has been incarcerated and this is a start to making up for a lot of missed loved…. thanks alot!!
You’re so welcome- hope he loves it!
This is by far, the BEST idea/printable EVER!!! Thank you so much!!! <3
Awww- thanks Natalie!! You are SO welcome!
Is there any way to type on the printable? I love everything except for the drinks and I don’t want to have to handwrite everything in!
But I am super excited to do this on V-Day with my hubby!! We have a thing at our church after so we really can’t go out to eat. This will be perfect!
Sure Ashley! You can save the printable to your computer and then add in your own text with photoshop or whatever program you have. If you don’t have one, you can get Gimp for free online at Gimp.org or try Paint.net Hope your V-Dat date is a hit!!! XOXO
Love the idea but I can’t access the printable … all I get is a blank screen when i click the link. 🙁
Hmmm…. are you still having trouble now? I just tried and it worked for me.
Nope, still won’t load. And I even shut everything down and restarted my computer (as sometimes that fixes things like this). Just get a blank page.
Sorry you’re having trouble, Jennifer. Everything seems to be working on our end. I just shot you a quick email about it.
Maybe you don’t have adobe reader? thats how mine open, using that program. if you don’t have it, you can get it for free. just look for it on google!
I just wanted to let you know I did this for my husband last night. He loved it! It turned a normal dinner into something special. You are the best!
Awww- thanks Sarina!! 🙂
I absolutely love this idea! Thanks for sharing it. We’re moving this weekend and I’ve been wondering what I could do for a date (that didn’t require any extra unpacking) after we’ve gotten everything moved in and I think this will work perfectly! I may even try the pork chops recipe my guy’s been wanting me to.
Oh I bet he’d LOVE that. So glad you can use this- have so much fun!!
My boyfriend and I just moved in together and for our first dinner in the new apartment I used the Couples Cafe printables and even decorated the plate with rose petals as shown above. He LOVED it and I had so much fun choosing which ingredients would cost what…I’m going to use this again and recommend it to friends, it’s the little things that make a big difference THANK YOU!
Yay! I’m so glad he loved it. Thanks for coming back to let us know- makes my day! 🙂
We did this date tonight! We both LOVED it! I surprised my hubby with the menu when he got home and he was very impressed! Thank you for this site! We have been married for almost 6 years with one child and we are kind of tired of the same old “dinner and a movie” date! Excited for next week’s date!
Oh, I’m so glad!!! You are VERY welcome. It’s readers like you that make this soooo much fun. 🙂
What a cute idea! Thanks!
