After Christmas Date Tradition!

Christmas really is the BEST time of the year, but when all of the presents are unwrapped and the lights are turned off we’re left with only our sweet holiday memories. Bringing the boxes/totes in from the garage and taking down the Christmas decor can be a bit of a bummer! We’re feeling it too! BUT, wait! Turn that frown upside-down and make taking down Christmas a fun new tradition! We put together a creative date night, for the two of you to clean up Christmas and capture the memories of the holidays! It’s time to plan your Take Down the Holidays date night!

No one likes when the fun and excitement of the holidays are over! January is kind of a dull, gray, boring month. {Sorry January.} With the help of one of our fabulous designers, Joanna of Cutify Creative we’ve come up with a way to capture your holiday memories, pack up all of the Christmas boxes, and party together when all of the work is done! We all need an after Christmas date this time of year!

Invitations

Let your spouse know that it’s time to pull out the Christmas boxes with this cute Take Down the Holidays invitation. Giving my spouse an invite really helps us carve out time together. {Clear your schedule honey! It’s you and me time!} It’s the perfect way to make date night happen!

Christmas Memory Jar

Create a Christmas memory jar together! While you’re cleaning up the tree and decorations, take the time to reflect together. Add a printable label to any jar (I used this one) and print out as many note cards as you need. (Hint: I printed a ton so I can do this activity every year.) Write down a few of your favorite memories from the holidays with thoughtful prompts like:

• My favorite holiday tradition is…
• I look forward to Christmas because…
• One of my favorite Christmas memories was…

Year after year your holiday memories and thoughts will be a family treasure to read and share together.

Date Card

This is the best part of our after Christmas date! When all of the cleaning is done and the holiday boxes are stored away until next year, surprise your spouse with this Take Down the Holidays flirty card!
