Festive & EGG-cellent Easter Games
Can you believe Easter is right around the corner? Crazy! With Easter comes beautiful spring weather, and since spring = sunshine, we know several families are itching to start playing outside again.
With that in mind, we came up with five family-friendly Easter games to get you outdoors with your family! Of course, we had to create some darling FREE printables to go along with the egg games! 😉
These win-it-in-a-minute-style Easter games are all pretty easy, so they’re perfect for the littles. If you want to make them even easier for the kiddos, adjust the time as needed. Whatever suits your family best!

WHAT YOU NEED
Before you hop into the fun, take a second to read what you’ll need to pull off these adorable Easter games, perfect for kids:
- Plastic Easter eggs
- An empty box (preferably larger than a shoebox)
- Spoons
- 2 baskets
- Handkerchief or bandana (for a three-legged race)
- Tape or glue
- Thick string or twine
- A timer
- Wrapping paper (optional)

Egg Games Printables
Now that you’ve gathered the items for these Easter activities, it’s time to assemble your printables! We did our best to make the assembly part super easy for you. You’re welcome! 😉
There are five pages of printables in total, but some pages will need to be printed more than once. We’ll go into the details about that when we go over each game. For now, let’s show you what’s included!
Your download includes a 5 parts – a “START” banner, a “FINISH” banner, bunny ears, a bunny face, and two headbands.
1 & 2. Banners – How adorable is this START banner? (The FINISH banner is identical.)
3. An adorable bunny face.
4 & 5. These cute bunny ears attach to a headband.
Aren’t these printables the CUTEST?! The best part is you can use them for more than just these five Easter games. In fact, why not use them for other Easter kids’ activities? The bunny ears would make a cute photo booth prop, and the START and FINISH banners can be used for several other outdoor games! Keep that in mind! 😉
Let’s hop into the games now!
Game #1: Easter Egg Race
Setting up: Print the START and FINISH banners, and punch holes in the top corners. String the letters onto twine or thick string, and hang the START banner somewhere in the yard. Assemble the Easter eggs, hang the FINISH banner about 10 feet away, and place two baskets in front of the banner. You will need spoons for this game!
To play with kids: Separate into two teams and stand in front of the START banner. Decide the order of the players. When you’ve decided which two people will be going first (one from each team), give one spoon and one egg to each player. Everyone else should line up behind the starting players.
Have the first players place the egg in their spoon. Set the timer for one minute (or however long you’d like). When the timer starts, the players will walk or run as fast as they can and try to get their Easter egg to the other side of the yard and drop it in the Easter basket. If they drop the egg on the way, they will need to stop and put the egg back on their spoon before they can continue.
Once the egg has been dropped into the basket, the next person in line from the same team can start moving across the lawn. The team with the most eggs in their basket when the timer goes off wins!
To play with adults: Adults can have Easter fun too! To make it a little trickier, try blindfolding any adult players before they make their way across the yard. You could also use raw eggs vs. fake Easter eggs for added difficulty.
GAME #2: Three-Legged Bunny Hop
Setting Up: Assemble the START and FINISH banners if you haven’t already. Print one bunny ears page and one headband page for every person playing. One set of bunny ears goes with one page of headbands. Cut out the ears and headbands and measure the heads of the players with the headbands. Glue or tape the headbands together to create one large headband that fits snuggly on the head. Glue or tape two bunny ears onto each assembled headband. Hang the START banner somewhere in the yard and hang the FINISH banner about 10 feet away. You will need handkerchiefs or bandanas for this game!
To play: Divide into two teams, and pair two people together from each team. Put on the bunny ears! Have each pair within each team stand close together with their inner legs touching. Using the handkerchiefs or bandanas, tie their inner legs together. Decide who will be going first from each team and have everyone else line up behind them. Set the timer for one minute (or however long you’d like). When the timer starts, each pair from both teams will hop to the FINISH banner as fast as they can! Once one pair reaches the FINISH banner, another from the same team can make their way across the yard. The team with the most members at the FINISH line after the timer goes off wins!
Game #3: Easter Egg Toss
Setting Up: Print the bunny face and bunny ears. Wrap an empty box in white wrapping paper (optional). Cut a large semicircle at the bottom of the box—so it creates a flap. You can have the flap hanging out of the box to look like a tongue, or you can lay it flat and tape it inside the box. Tape or glue the bunny face and bunny ears onto the box. You will need Easter eggs for this game!
To play: Set the bunny box on the ground or on a hard surface. If you choose to play with the bunny on the ground, simply have the players roll the eggs into the mouth rather than toss them.
Separate into two teams and give each player five eggs. Decide who will go first and have everyone else line up behind them. Set a timer for one minute (or however long you’d like).
For this game, each team will have separate turns. Have the first player from team 1 stand about 2-3 feet away from the bunny box. Team 2 should stand somewhere off to the side. Set the timer for one minute. When the timer starts, the first player can start tossing their eggs into the bunny’s mouth. Any eggs that land on the ground need to stay there. Once they’ve tossed all five eggs, the next person in line will take their turn. Repeat until everyone has taken their turn (or until your timer goes off). Count how many eggs made it into the mouth.
Now it’s time for team 2 to take their turn. Team 2 will repeat the process. The team with the most eggs that made it into the bunny’s mouth wins!
Game #5: Towering Eggs
This game is one of the easier Easter games for kids we came up with!
Setting up: Gather about 30–40 Easter eggs and take them apart.
To play: Divide into two teams and sit or stand around a hard surface. Set a timer for one minute (or however long you’d like). When the timer starts, have each team build an egg tower by stacking the halved eggs. The team with the tallest tower when the timer goes off wins!
Game #5: Egg Matching
This game is also on the easier side.
Setting up: Gather about 20–30 Easter eggs and take them apart. You will need one basket for each team.
To play: Divide into two teams. Set a timer for one minute. When the timer starts, have each team start matching colored pieces (a yellow top and a yellow bottom, a pink top, and a pink bottom, etc.) and put the two egg pieces back together as quickly as they can. Note: You can’t assemble another egg until you’ve finished the one you started! Place the assembled egg into your team’s basket. The team with the most finished eggs when the timer goes off wins!
