College football season has started and for me that means I’ve lost my husband to the TV most weekends. He’s good to keep his watching in check and I want to be supportive of his hobbies, so I decided to embrace the season and get in on the fun!
A little envelope with some tickets inside. Each ticket is like a coupon for something fun like “one football treat”, “a night out with the guys to watch the big game at Buffalo Wild Wings”, “Good for One afternoon of me watching with you”, and my favorite…”Good for one game of me NOT booing the Utes.” {His favorite team and my rival. Go Cougars!}
So here is how you put it together. It is SUPER easy! I did it in under 15 minutes, and that was with gathering my supplies AND taking pictures.
- Collect your supplies. Scrapbook paper, glue, ribbon, a tag, ink, and tickets. I purchased a GIANT roll at an office supply store (I figure I’ll use them with my kids for SOMETHING.) You can purchase them here
.
- Fold your paper so it is longer on one side and glue the sides to make a little pocket. Ink the edges.
- I purchased a little tag, tied a ribbon on it and inked the edges.
- Print out the FOOTBALL LABEL, cut and glue on to the tag. Then adhere the tag to the envelope.
- Write a few coupons and/or messages on your tickets.
- Insert the tickets into the envelope and leave it out to surprise your spouse!
Super easy and it will show him you care! And if you are REALLY wanting to get in on the football action, check out Kristen’s Pep Rally date. Or you can get more coupon ideas here.
My favorite is “not booing the Utes”! {lol} That would work for Jamie & I as well! 🙂
So cute! My husbands not a football fan but I can definitely change this to soccer for him! 🙂 Thanks for the idea.
Great idea Erika! I love how this idea can easily be put together!
Perfect for any sports-lovin’ hubby! Thanks, Erika!
