Spouse Subway Art

I love ideas that are FREE!  Who doesn’t, right?  Surprise your spouse tonight with an easy idea that will mean a lot!  I discovered a great site called wordle.net. This site allows you to create your very own subway art in minutes.  I went on the site, entered my husband’s name and then added TONS of words that describe him.  You can choose the color, font and direction of your words.  I wanted to make this special, so I printed it on photo paper and then placed it in an 8×10 frame.   When my husband came home, he noticed it right away!  It was a fun way to express all the things I love about him!  I also thought it would be fun to put on the cover of a card for Father’s Day, too.

For another great Father’s Day card idea, check out THIS post to see what Kristen did.  {Another free printable that you will love!}

  1. I did the same thing for my husband several years ago for Valentine’s Day. He has it at his office now :) If you type in a certain word multiple times then it will be bigger than the rest… so you can make different words stand out from the rest!

  2. The wordle site will make the words big depending on how many times they are used. I use this site with reading passages in my English class.
    Another good site for thisis tagxedo. I believe it let’s you change the shape of the word cloud

  3. I LOVE this idea! I was looking for one more fun and simple thing to do for Valentine’s Day and this came up on Facebook and I knew it would be perfect! Thanks so much for all of the fun ideas you do! But one question, I am having trouble getting it to print correctly, any tips?

    1. I’m also having a hard time getting it to print on one page! I so want to do this for my anniversary at the end of the month. Any tips or suggestions?!?!

  4. This is such a cool idea! My husband’s birthday is on Saturday, and for one of his presents I cleaned & organized a study area for him in our bedroom (he is finishing his degree & it’s hard for him to find a good place to study since we have 2 kids). I found this idea on your website yesterday, so I made a wordle print into an 11×14 & hung it above his desk area. I love it! Thanks for the idea!
