Since Thanksgiving is right around the corner and we’ll all be planning out some fabulous Thanksgiving dinner ideas…I’ve got a few food ideas to help add some SPICE to your marriage. That being said, let’s talk about the two L-words for a moment: Love AND Libido. Yes, the two do go hand-in-hand when it comes to a marriage. {wink} Some of us Divas are fans of the Dr. Oz show. Have you heard of him? (He used to be a regular on Oprah.) Now, we don’t often go out on a limb and quote TV programs, but I felt that one of Dr. Oz’s shows had some real merit when it comes to marriages. I’m not going to get into all of the medical jargon or start spouting off reasons why each of the foods below work. If you are interested in more information on all of that, you can view his two-part program HERE.
Now, I have heard so many times from my girlfriends that their husbands ‘want it’ more than they do. I’ve always wondered why that is?? Are women just programed differently men? lol, well that is obvious! Ahem, but more importantly…what can we do to change that? Well, according to Dr. Oz and CBS News, food is an important factor when it comes to boosting your libido. Now, it isn’t the ONLY thing you should be doing if you want to boost up those bedroom hormones…the proper amount of sleep and exercise are also very important.
Libido Boosting Foods:
Pumpkin Seeds, Watermelon, Chocolate Covered Strawberries (Dark Chocolate), Halibut, Asparagus, Garlic, Bananas, Celery, Walnuts, Beets, Peanut Butter, Dark Chocolate, Beef, Nutmeg, Ginger, Ginseng Tea, Almonds, Avocados, and Agave.
Have you noticed that the foods listed above are all healthy foods? Interesting, isn’t it? Our bodies function on what we use for fuel and that goes straight to our brain’s receptors. So now that you know what foods will get you both in ‘da mood…how about some recipes that you can make for the two of you? An even better idea? Cook dinner together! Flirt while you chop veggies, brush up against each other when you’re crossing the kitchen, nibble on your spouse’s ear and then walk away…I guarantee just the thought of what’s in store will get you both in the mood! haha!
