Other Love Book Resources
Whether you want a hard copy of your love story book, or to create an eBook, this site can help. Create a story using your own photos or clip art from the web. Write out your story and use pictures (or not) on Word, or some other approved application, then use this site to convert the document to an eBook or a hard copy book. This may be a good option for those who have creativity and vision galore, as you will need to create your own story book from start to finish without any help or inspiration from this site.
Make your own book and convert it to a version that is easier to share and keep forever. They have videos and other resources to help you create the eBook of your dreams. Lulu merely helps to get your writing into a proper format for sharing or saving your love story forever.
2. My Storybook
This is one of my favorite free resources on this list for writing love stories online! This is a really cute website that lets you create your own book online – text, drawings, everything! The result is a little simple looking, but that makes it all the sweeter! Write out your storybook text, and draw or insert images to go along with your story. This results in very little effort for a very thoughtful storybook. You can share it online for free, or print the eBook for a small price. Because it is so user-friendly, this is one of the best sites for creating a simple love book. The format of the book editor is very intuitive. Try it out – it’s super fun to create your own love book!
If you are looking for a cute, personalized hard copy book where you can tell your love story, this is it! These books turn out so cute. You have so much control over how the illustrations look and how your story is told. You can choose a hardcover or softcover book. This site lets you create a custom love story book online that you will treasure and save forever. Although the price tag is higher than the others on this list, the result is well worth it. The book is a special gift you will look at again and again.
4. Story Jumper
With Story Jumper, you can create your own storybook, save it, email it, and you can pay to have it printed if you’d like. Using this website, you can input your own text and choose images from their site to pair with your storybook. Some of the resources on the site are limited if you are not a paying member, but nonetheless, you can still easily create a simple, cute storybook.
If you want to make your own book but still have it look beautiful and professional, this is the storybook resource for you! These books are gorgeous! They get you started with a sentence, and you complete it with your own words and photos. The result is a love storybook that you will treasure and want to read and reread for years to come. If you want to make your own book, but need a little guidance and help with the creative aspect, this site is perfect. Our love book came out beautifully using this website.
One more great resource if you want to create your own personalized love book, but with this one, you create it online by answering question prompts then adding photos. The result is a hardcover, timeless-looking love story book. The layout is simple and clean. Very little effort gets you a beautiful storybook keepsake.
Regardless of what love book creator you choose, your spouse will feel loved and so special as they read through the sweet love stories and kind words you wrote them. Enjoy!

This is SO cute! I totally need to do this for my hubby!!
This is the sweetest idea ever!!
Hey! is this available in India?
I am not exactly familiar with this website’s policies. I assume you can access the website and at least make your book as a PDF file. As for printing and shipping – you will have to contact the company personally. I hope that helps!
i have just completed my love story book, i want cover page for my love story book, please give any idea for my love story books.
WOW just what I was searching for. Came here by searching
for gift idea
I just want to say THANK YOU for this wonderful idea. I’m starting my own little ‘storybook’ like this right now and I’m having so much fun with it. Thanks for a wonderful idea, you’re the best!
Good luck – I am sure it will be amazing!
Your book is wonderful! Thank you for sharing this. I just made one for my husband and emailed the link to him. We’re separated right now but I’m praying for his return. He may not appreciate the book right now, or even read it, but I wrote a story about our unfinished love story (about our past and how I’m now waiting, hoping, praying and believing for his return home). I hope some day in the future it will mean something to him, and when he returns I may order a hard copy of it to remind us how we survived the “worse” part of for better or worse.
Thanks for sharing your experience! We appreciate hearing how you are using these ideas to strengthen your marriage – no matter where your relationship is at. Marriage is worth fighting for and it sounds like you are making an effort to make it work. I wish you the best with whatever happens. Please keep in touch!
I love this so much! I have just started making my husband a year of dates Christmas present, and we’ll make one of these books for one of our dates – so excited! Deborah, we’ll be printing the pdf on card too – hope yours worked well!
OMG I JUST DISCOVERED THIS SITE TODAY AND HAVE ABSOLUTELY FALLEN IN LOVE WITH IT! <3 you divas are amazing, thank you so much and keep it up! <3
I noticed a few other people have you asked you this question, and I tried to follow your directions in replies to them, but it is not working. I created a story, saved it, and want to have it printed as a hardcover, or at least email it to myself, but there is no “share” button on the upper left side of my cover page. Any help you have would be greatly appreciated. I’m trying to do something with my book for my one year anniversary which is October 25th.
Without seeing your screen I can only guess what might be happening. My first hunch is that you have saved it but not PUBLISHED it. While in edit mode of your book, in the top right corner there is a dropdown menu that says “Menu” you can choose Save, save and close or publish. When you publish you can make it private or share it with the storybird world – it is up to you and from there purchase. If that doesn’t work PLEASE let me know and I can try another hunch!
Thanks for sharing this great resource! Love your adorable printable too!
I was trying to do this storybook thing and I cant manage to send it through email and the demo is nothing like the actual program. HELP!!
Awww – that is frustrating. Let me see if I can walk you through it: When you are logged in to the site click on the YOU tab that will take you to the page where you can see the book that you have made. Click on the title of your book. This should take you to a page that has the cover of your book central and the inside pages off to the side. Above the upper left side of your cover there is an area that says SHARE along with icons for facebook, twitter, stumble upon and email. Choose email (or any of the options) and that should be it!
Good luck! Hope that helps. I will try to add a visual of the page to this post to help others who are asking the same question!
I finally finished my book, and I really want to share it on my website, but I don’t see any features on the storybird site that would let me do it without downloading the PDF. Am I overlooking some essential, tiny detail?
I am so excited to see it! Don’t you love this site? Alright – here is what you do:
When you log in click on the YOU tab and you should find a picture of your book (if you have published it) Click the title of your book. This should bring you to a screen that shows the title page of your book and the inside pages to the side. Above the cover page their is a link that says “embed & badges” click that and you should see various options with html coding from there you probably know how to embed on your blog better than me! Good luck!
Did you find it? If not – I made an addition to the post above with a visual to help others find the same links!
LOVED THIS IDEA!!!!!!
I made my very own story of how my hubby and I met and grew old together.. (we’ve been married for 8 months, almost 9). Check it out here!
Thanks for the idea!!
Thanks for sharing – I loved it! Good job!
Sarina I was able to see yours now. it’s adorable!!! Funny that I hadn’t seen yours but I chose the same artist as you did for mine.
Here’s a link to mine. Everyone let me know what you think. I was thinking to print it and use it as a Christmas present this year.
So stinkin’ cute! You are so creative! What a great gift under the tree this year! The hardest part will be not showing him early! Thanks for sharing!
I love this! Your story is really cute too 🙂
Can you tell us how much the hardcover copy of the book cost? I love this!
The prices depend on the number of pages. Mine cost about $40 and if you follow this link it will take you to all the optional pricing: https://storybird.com/faq/commerce/#prices
Mine had 32 pages…said it would cost $28.95 for soft cover or $38.95 for hardcover
I chose to download the pdf version and print mine for only $1.99. I printed it on extra card stock paper we had laying around the house and on an old printer that my husband swears is worthless so he doesn’t care how much ink I use. It came out amazing. I’m going to take it today to have it bound and have a cover put on. I’ll try to post pics of the finished product.
Ooooh! I am so excited to see it! I LOVE this site for the many options it provides!
How can I post a picture of it?
I can’t view either :/
check out the explanation above and I hope it works for you!
This is AWESOME!!!! I can’t wait to make one!!!!
What a cute idea! I tried to view yours but it’s private 🙁
Too bad! My husband had the same problem on his computer and it was a combination of 2 things: he had an ad blocker that prevented him from viewing it online and/or he had to do an update on his software. After we played with both of those it appeared. Hopefully you can get it to work!
