What’s included
As we mentioned above, our designers have created the cutest printables to accompany this gift idea! While the basket tags are geared towards mom’s birthday or Mother’s Day, we know that gifting chocolate is appropriate (and appreciated!) any time of the year! The candy tags and card are more generic and can be used for celebrations or even “just because.”
Here is a close-up of that sweet card! It reads “You are loved a choco-lot!”
Aren’t these candy tags the cutest ever?! We think so, too! Don’t worry; we’ll list all the candy suggestions below.
Now that you’ve seen the printables, let’s jump into what you will need for assembling these yummy chocolate gift baskets!
What You’ll Need
Aside from chocolate, here is what you will need:
- A hole punch
- Scissors
- Thick ribbon
- Baker’s twine
- A basket
Keep in mind that our candy suggestions are just that: suggestions. If your special lady prefers fancy chocolates, by all means, give her the fancy chocolates! {Wink!}
We did our best to make sure these gift baskets could be easy to assemble, especially for those of you who already have a lot on your plate. Most candy can be purchased at Target, Walmart, or Dollar Tree! We recommend the King-sized bars/bags, but any size will do.
If you’re going for fancier chocolate, check out Mrs. Cavanaugh’s Chocolates & Ice Cream. This is a family-owned business that has the best affordable chocolates to gift, and they ship all over the U.S. You can also find fancy chocolates at See’s Candies, Amazon, or Ghiradelli.

Assembling the Chocolate Gift Basket
Simply print the printables and cut them out. Using your hole punch, punch holes at the top of each candy tag as well as the basket tag you selected. Next, thread the baker’s twine through each candy tag and attach the tag to the chocolate (you can also tape the candy tags onto the chocolate if that’s easier!). Using your thick ribbon, attach the basket tag to the top of the basket. That’s it! Easy peasy, right?!
Your fully assembled gift basket will look something like this:
Now comes the fun part, presenting the gift basket to the deserving woman!
We hope these chocolate gift baskets are a hit with the women in your life!
