Love Jeopardy Game Show
Jeopardy is a classic game show and everybody loves a good classic! While I’ve never really watched Jeopardy, I’ve played so many different versions of Jeopardy in a variety of situations: school, reviews, church activities… A DIY Jeopardy game is a great way to review important subjects and see how much you know, or even to learn something new! So we had the fun idea to create a DIY Jeopardy Game Show for date night! Our Love Jeopardy Game is a fun way to connect and see how well you know your spouse. You might just learn a thing or two about your sweetheart!

This date night was designed by one of our favorites! Messes to Memories created these simple and bright Jeopardy Game Show printables. All you need to do is print, cut and attach to a poster and you’re set!
Create Your Own DIY Jeopardy Game Show
This game show gives the answer and you provide the question! It’s Jeopardy!!!
We came up with 5 fun categories for you and your spouse. But just like they do in Jeopardy, we decided they needed to have clever names… see if you can figure out what each of the categories is all about.
- I Remember When…
- Shoot for the Stars
- The Size of It
- Shoulders of Giants
- Preferred Above All
Each category has its own color so it’s easy to keep track of what belongs where! Fold the card in half so you have a number on one side and an answer on the other. Line them up with the numbers face up and attach them to your board with tape, so you can take them off later to read the answers while playing the game.
Be sure not to peek too much while prepping your game board or you’ll have an unfair advantage in the game. You might be tempted to try to figure out answers, but no cheating or it won’t be as fun for you when date night rolls around. TIP: We used a ruler to help us space out each of the cards about an inch from all the edges of a standard poster board.
Once you’re all set up, you’ll want to invite your main contestant. Send them a quick text with the details using our handy digital invite {download at the bottom of this post}.
How to Play LOVE Jeopardy
Jeopardy is a fun game you can play in groups, but this game is designed for you and your spouse! You’ll both get to be contestants and play the role of the host! Here is just a quick recap on how to play Jeopardy for those who need a little refresher.
- Pick a category and the points you want to go for! For example, “Shoulders of Giants for 400, please!”
- The host will read the “answer” and you must answer in the form of a question. For example, “What is….?” Or “Who is….?”
- If you get it correct, you get to keep the card/points and you go again!
- If you get it wrong, your spouse has a chance to steal the points and answer the question.
- The game is played until all the questions are answered. The person with the most points wins!
Look out for the Daily Double!!
Tips for Creating a Game Show Date Night
Ah, but of course, this is a game created by The Dating Divas, so there’s a fun twist! You know we always love to mix it up for date night. Cash in your game show rewards for a little play time with your spouse in the bedroom!
We’ve created a super simple rewards sheet for you to use after your game. You and your spouse must decide some fun rewards and assign a point/money value to them. You might want to do this before you start playing so you have some incentive for winning. It’s always nice to have something to look forward to at the end of date night. 😉
When the game is over, it’s time to spend your reward money—CASH IN!
To make this Jeapordy Date all come together, be sure to grab a great quality paper cutter and nice cardstock.
I’m definitely drawing a blank on “prizes” to cash in. Mainly because I wanted to do the “2 min in heaven” tonight as well. I guess we’ll have to save that one for later.
thank you for your commitment to posting awesome date night ideas! Three kiddos and we just moved to the area. No sitter available for us.
You’re welcome! Just think of things that you and your hubby would LOVE to do or have for rewards – massages, hugs, a treat, etc. It can be super simple… sometimes the simpler the better.
This is such a cute, fun idea!
Thank you!
THis looks like so much fun!
