Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt

This creative Easter Bunny Hunt leads you through your home in search of 6 different clues. Crystal at A Well Feathered Nest did such a beautiful job designing this Easter Hunt for us! The games and challenges are just so stinking cute, I can barely stand it! There is a family game or challenge in each bag that needs to be completed before moving on to the next clue. Your family will have a BLAST working together to complete each one!

3 bags of clues for easter scavenger hunt

How it Works

Grab our free printables {gosh, you’re welcome} at the bottom of this page and some paper bags. I had some brown ones on hand from a craft project, but there are some really cute white ones on Amazon for cheap! Attach a clue card to the bottom of the bags – 6 total. These clues will lead your family from room to room on their mad chase! The bags should be placed in the following locations in your home:

  • Kitchen
  • Play Area
  • A Bed
  • Bathroom
  • Heater
  • Front Door

Easter Games

Before placing the bags, fill each one with a challenge or game. {The BEST part!} These need to be completed as a family before reading the next clue on the bottom of the bag. No peeking!! There are 6 creative and fun games in this scavenger hunt including:

  • Easter Word Search
  • Word Scramble
  • Tic Tac Toe
  • Draw A Bunny
  • Easter I Spy
  • Don’t Eat PEEP!

Once the challenge has been completed, you’re welcome to read the bottom of the bag and start your search for the next clue!

Don’t Eat PEEP Game

In order to fit all of the games into little brown paper bags we had to make them very small! All of the games have the instructions written at the top except for “Don’t Eat PEEP!” No room left! If this is a new game for you like it was for me, here are the rules of the game…

Don’t Eat PEEP Instructions:  Place a Skittle {or any small candy} in each square of the board. Send a player out of the room while the other players determine which Skittle piece represents the PEEP. When PEEP is chosen, the player outside of the room returns. This player eats the skittles on the board one at a time.

When the player goes to eat the candy designated as “PEEP” the other players yell “DON’T EAT PEEP!” The player then has to stop, no matter how many Skittles have been eaten. Their turn is now over, the board is reset and the next player leaves the room. This game is won if you can eat all of the candies and have “PEEP” leftover OR until you run out of skittles!

Easter games

At the end of our hunt, I bought some chocolate eggs and made some breakfast muffins to celebrate. {Yummy!} We did our hunt a week before Easter. There is no need to save this for Easter Sunday! It is a fun surprise on any day leading up to the holiday. It really got my family excited for the season!! These clues and challenges are sure to help you make some wonderful Easter memories with your family!

HAPPY EASTER!!
