Hollywood Award Show Party

A night at the movies (or a movie at home) is something to get excited about! I love catching the newest flick in theaters, watching amazing performances, then rooting for my favorite actor when awards season rolls around. {Go, Jennifer Lawrence!!} The blockbusters, the dresses, swag bags full of gifts, amazing food – we don’t want to be left out of the fun on awards night! Today we’re bringing the glitz and glam of a Hollywood party right to your living room!

I love watching awards shows! Everything about it is FUN for me. I couldn’t let another awards season pass by without having a DATE night!  Our girl Joanna of JAB Creative Australia did such a BEAUTIFUL job on these Oscar Party Printables! This girl has design talent from head to toe! (You should click on the link and CHECK her out!) We have everything you need for hosting the perfect movie party!

Invitations

I’m just in love with this cute invitation! The gold dripping from the top makes me feel so fancy! Print this beauty out, fill in all all of your party information, and pop it in the mail. Getting things in the mail {nice things, NOT bills} is so delightful! I used a metallic colored fine point sharpie to fill in my invitations. They worked perfectly!

Refreshment Sign and Cupcake Tags

It might just be me, but I think that food is always the best thing about a good party! Second only to great company, maybe. I am a sucker for chocolate cake so I plopped a big fat one down on our refreshment table. {Yummy!} Lay your table with a few refreshments or a three course meal – both work great with this at home date night! We have little food toppers and a beautiful refreshment sign for finishing touches.

Printable Oscar Banner

We have 3 different banners to choose from! Pick one, print as many as you need, cut out, glue together and you’ve got the perfect party banner. BUT, you can use them all over the house if you’d like. I cut out a couple and added them to the refreshment table.

Swag Bag Tags

This might be my favorite part of the whole night – Oscar Party Swag Bags for all of your guests! I picked up these little gold statues for cheap on Amazon and added one to each bag. {I also used them as awards for party games. Perfect!} Add a few more treats and your guests will leave feeling like Hollywood royalty!

Oscar Party Activity Ideas

There are so many fun activities to make your group date memorable.  Here are a few ideas to get the ball rolling:

• If watching awards shows isn’t your thing, pull out some of the nominated movies and host your own film festival.
• Have your own red carpet and invite your guests to dress up like Hollywood starlets!
• Have a ballot of some of the nominees for this year’s Oscars and let each couple guess the winners BEFORE the awards are given. Here is a great place to get FREE printable Oscar Party Ballots.
• Make this a group date or intimate night in for 2.
