  1. Such great ideas. Always looking for fun ideas. The way we announced to our family. On Father’s day we gave our dad’s a shirt that said “Great dad’s get promoted to grandpa”. Then for our siblings we got all together for a sibling picture and turned the camera on video and pressed record and said “say 1..2..3.. Tanya’s pregnant” It was priceless and we got it all on video.

  2. When my husband and I get pregnant, we decided to tell our immediate family by getting them all either a frame that says grandparent, aunt, or uncle. Then put a picture of the ultrasound inside, wrap it, and give it to them.

  3. So cute! For ours I took a picture of our dogs and posed them next to a onesie with the caption “We’re going to have a new snuggle buddy July 2014!” For my parents I sent them a copy of my favorite children’s book and on the inside wrote “To read to your grandchild July 2014” and skyped them when they opened it. They loved it and the look on their face was wonderful!

  4. I just announced to DH that we’re preggers with #3. We already had a dinner date planned, and I had just found out that morning. So, I took the pregnancy test along with a little strip of paper with a brief note along with me in my purse. While my DH wasn’t looking, I unwrapped his silverware, and put the pregnancy test & note in their place, then wrapped the napkin back around it & put it at his place. Of course, he ordered wings, and probably wouldn’t have used the silverware, but I scolded him to put his napkin in his lap. He was quite surprised to see what was inside! 🙂

  5. The end of our first trimester was around valentines day. I bought V-day cards for grandparents, aunts, etc signed them “can’t wait to meet you in august! Love, baby Hennon”, and mailed them out to our family. The phone calls coming in were great!!

  6. We read an Original one too didn”t come out as planned though. We just put the family together on my birthday for a picture and instead of cheese I just went “I”m pregnant”. They all figured it was a joke and were just acting normal on the picture. I don’t even have it anymore. They believed me after I got the sonogram. Sigh* with a more believing family this might be cool I guess.

  7. I am so honored to be featured with my ” You are going to be a Grandma ! ” cup in this awesome collection among other amazing finds!

    Thank you so much!!!

  8. These are great ideas. We’ve tried the pregnancy kit announcement—it was insane and fun..LOL A lot of my friends commented our photos, they thought it was an April fools day because we posted that on the April 1st.

  9. I told dh about baby #2 with a photo album on the front it said everything I love about you and it had photos and little notea and towards the end I said I love how you’re such a great daddy to our kids and the last page said we’re pregnant with the test I took that morning;) he loved it!…We told the family on mothers day when we were going to take a family photo and put it on video recording and when it was time my husband and I counted down then said we’re pregnant the reaction was priceless!!!!

  10. This is a fun way to reveal the gender of your baby!

My husband is a Wedding DJ and Master of Ceremonies and I lead in the planning sessions we have with our couples.

Matt and Amanda were planning their wedding AND expecting their first baby! The timing couldn’t have been more perfect because they actually got to find out what they were having a couple weeks prior to their wedding day. They kept this exciting news “Top Secret” because they wanted to reveal the baby’s gender to everyone in a creative way during their wedding reception.
This is a short video of how we incorporated the gender reveal into their Newlywed Game!
