Winter is here, which means it’s the perfect time of year to enjoy ice skating! Sure, you could go to an indoor ice skating rink any day of the year, but there’s something about skating on an outdoor rink, surrounded by snow, and sipping hot cocoa as you go.
With that in mind, we created the perfect wintery date that is guaranteed to be snow much fun!

Ice Skating Date Invitation
Like all of our dates, this one includes a darling invitation that you can give to your spouse! This invitation is included in your free printable pack, located at the bottom of this post.
You can stick this invitation on a mirror, in your spouse’s lunch, leave it on their pillow, or simply hand it to them.
Sensual Skating Board Game
The highlight of the night isn’t the actual ice skating…It’s what is going to happen in the bedroom later that night, thanks to our Sensual Skating board game!
Picture this: you’ve just returned from a day of ice skating, and you’re ready to warm up. Instead of preparing hot cocoa, play this game instead. We can guarantee that both of you will feel the heat pretty quickly!
Prepping the Sensual Skating Board Game:
First, you’ll need to scroll to the bottom of this post and download the FREE printable pack. You will receive four pages for the board game, one page of game cards, and one page for the invitation and the game pieces.
Sensual Skating is very similar to Candy Land in the way it’s set up, and you’ll play the game nearly identically to how you’d play Candy Land.
Print and glue the four game board pieces onto a large poster board (so you can reuse the game!) and consider laminating it. Of course, that isn’t necessary for the game, but it definitely makes it easier to play again and again! The four pieces of the game board will take up an entire sheet of 8.5×11″ paper. The assembled board will look like this:
Next, cut out the game cards and game pieces. The cards are what will help you move across the board:
The game pieces are what you’ll use to move across the board. There is one for hubby and one for wifey, and our brilliant photographer had the great idea of sticking the game pieces inside binder clips to help them stand up straight! This set of binder clips has the colors that match the game, too! Check it out:
How to Play Sensual Skating:
As mentioned above, this game is very similar to Candy Land! However, the point of this game is to sensually “skate” over each other’s bodies with different items and end up in bed together rather than in a candy castle!
Each player will take turns drawing one game card, and the game card will tell you how many spaces to move, or it will have a picture of one of the sensual lands on it.
For example, if you draw a card with one pink square, you’ll move to the first pink space available. If you draw a card with two gray squares, you’ll move to the first gray space in your path and then continue on to the second gray space on the board, and so on. If you choose one of the sensual land cards, you’ll move your game piece to that specific land.
The sensual lands are meant to be an inspiration for what to use to “skate” over each other’s bodies. The sensual lands include chocolate, peppermint, ice, feathers, and wax, and you can interpret them in any way you want! You could use chocolate sauce, peppermint lubricant, ice cubes, etc. The options are endless and completely customizable to what you have on hand. Additionally, the way you use them to “skate” over each other’s bodies is also entirely up to you, but we’re sure you can figure that out! {Wink!}
Whoever gets to the bed at the top of the board wins the game, but trust us, you’ll BOTH be winning this game! {Wink!}
