Sweet Surprise for the Daddy-to-Be
When I was pregnant with my first, I kept running into the same suggestion across different message boards and Pinterest articles: bake brownies as a sweet surprise for your nursing team during the early stages of labor while you are still at home. Today, we are featuring another idea to honor a different VIP of your hospital support team: the Dad-to-be!
Even under the best circumstances, expanding your family is a definite adjustment! I remember wishing that I had something ready to let my hubby know what a gem he was throughout the labor process and the early days of being a new father.
Tasha of Whimsicle Design Studio helped us create a fabulous quick and easy printable set to accomplish just that! This “love prescription” is the perfect way to show your hubby that you care as you begin a new parenting adventure together.
This darling set includes a prescription note, a prescription label, and a blank card to write out important patient information. On the prescription note and label, fill in all your sweetheart’s data. You could add a handwritten message in the center of the note telling him that he was “just what the doctor ordered” during this major life transition.
Cut out the label and adhere it to an empty pill container filled with his favorite candy. M&Ms, Skittles, or Jelly Beans would all work great!
While he’s munching on this sweet treat, he can read the “patient information” card. Use this space to document your gratitude, your hopes, and your thoughts on what an amazing Dad he is from Day One.
Cheers to a quick and easy gift for him during the joyful chaos of adjusting to life with a newborn!
I love the title on the bottle! It couldn’t be more perfect because during labor, things can get pretty intense! Thank goodness for patient and supportive daddies to be! Their love and support is worth a million!
Love this, Candice!
