A Date Night Where Your Spouse Decides
Do you remember that classic country song by George Strait, “Check Yes or No?” It has the sweetest little love story that all starts with a grade-school note.
The lyrics say,
“Do you love me do you want to be my friend
And if you do
Well then don’t be afraid to take me by the hand
If you want to
I think this is how love goes
Check yes or no”
Well, we all love our spouses and will check YES 100 x infinity! So to show them how much we care here is the Check Yes or No Date where your spouse gets to be the one to make all the decisions.
Check Yes or No Invite
This is a simple little card featuring the adorable artwork (thumbs up!) of Messes to Memories. You can just pop it wherever you know your sweetie will see it: the mirror, the fridge, the steering wheel of their car… you get the idea!
Hopefully, they won’t leave you hanging too long… but we have a feeling it will ALL be thumbs up.
Check Yes or No Date Night Adventure Options
The activities for this date night are separated into three categories: Food, Activities, and Bedroom 😉 oo-la-la! I set them up in a style reminiscent of a Rolodex so if you are skipping activities, you know where to jump! I just used little cable key rings to keep mine together.
We had the kids at my parents’ so we decided to do the whole night! Before you leave and present your date, maybe give each option a look. We have pitted Mexican against Chinese and Hamburgers against Pizza, but you probably don’t want to do both! Take a look through and choose which cards you will use and then on another date night you can do it again, but with a twist!
For each section have at least 1 Yes or No question for your spouse to answer. Allow them to view them beforehand, or on the spot! Whatever works better for you. We are really spontaneous, so I just showed my husband each card right before we were to move onto that portion of the date. I think our favorite part was that we were able to try a new restaurant just for dessert.
Then we found a sweet little greenbelt with a beautiful walking path. I loved being able to plan this date around what my husband wanted to do. He loved being outside and I loved being able to talk with him without interruptions!
And then we got home I had a little surprise with the bedroom options! It was a fun way to learn more about what he likes in the bedroom.
And we ended the night with a little lace in the bedroom 😉 {Have you checked out Mentionables?! It’s an amazing company for classy lingerie AND there are no models! It’s a safe place online to buy something for the bedroom without being worried about what you’ll see!}
Hopefully, it will be a date night unlike any other and will lead to a lot of unexpected fun!
How cute and simple is this!
This is SO fun!
