Of course you LOVE dating your mate!

So why not celebrate with a fun, pirate-themed date night adventure that will have you and your spouse walking the plank…right into the bedroom!

Get ready to set sail for an evening of snacks, adventure and romance!

Gather the necessary treasure to create the ULTIMATE pirate-themed date night that is not only fun but romantic as well!
Necessary Treasure:

1. The gorgeous printables created by the talented, Crystal Nale at A Well-Feathered Nest. TOTALLY check her out, she ROCKS!

2. A stick, to create the invite. {I used a kabob stick}

3. A small piece of styrofoam, to create the invite.

4. Markers (these ones are an awesome way to make your invitation POP) or stamps and glue, to create the invite.

5. Pirate-themed snacks

6. A pirate-themed movie {Captain Phillips, Pirates of the Caribbean, or Treasure Island be great choices!}

7. Favorite bedroom toys, to use for later in the evening. {wink, wink}

First, grab your printables, stick, styrofoam, markers or stamps and glue. Fill in your date and time on the invite, as well as you and your spouse’s initials inside the white box of the boat! (I used silver ink and it’s hard to see – I suggest something bolder) Fold the boat to where the bottom rectangle is flat. Cut a small piece of styrofoam to fit the bottom flap.

The styrofoam piece becomes the perfect foundation for standing up your boat AND inserting your stick to hold up the sail (aka invite)!

Isn’t she a beauty!? This is not your ordinary invite!

Next, prep your pirate-themed snacks using the adorable labels we’ve created for you! We’ve even created the menu: Pirate Booty Popcorn, Swedish Fish and Chips, Chocolate Candy Gold Doubloons and Sea Water.

Now the relaxing part! Grab your snacks and snuggle up to your favorite pirate-themed movie! {Ideas: ANY of the Pirates of the Caribbean, Treasure Island, or Captain Phillips} If you choose Pirates of the Caribbean, then we have some FANTASTIC, additional ideas to up the ante of this adventurous evening!

BUT, the night doesn’t end there! Send your spouse on a pirate adventure of his own! Use our scavenger hunt clues to lead him straight to the bedroom where he can earn some pirate “booty” of his own! {wink wink}

Here are the rules of this sweet adventure:

1. Hand him his first clue, which will lead him to the “galley” {kitchen}. There he will find the second clue and printable gold doubloons.

2. He will venture to find his second clue in the “stern” {back of your house/apartment}. There he will collect more printable gold doubloons. 3. Then, he is off to find his third clue in the “head” {bathroom}, where he will collect his last clue with the remaining gold doubloons. 4. His fourth and final clue will lead him to the bedroom where you will waiting for him with a Treasure Trove of goodies he can chose from in exchange for his printable gold doubloons.
