Halloween Treat Toppers

I am counting down the days until I can put my Halloween wreath upon the door, decorate my fireplace, and slip cute little candy snacks in my family’s lunches. But of course, I can’t leave my husband out! He always needs to know how MUCH I love and appreciates him (and find him SO super cute and sexy!).

We decided to team up with the amazing Courtney of Paperelli to make something creepily cute (see what I did there?) for that hubby or wife of yours this Halloween!

Are these not THE most adorable snack-bag toppers?! All I did was print them out, cut them up, and staple them to a snack bag of my hubby’s FAVORITE treats! (He especially loves these!)

Throw a different one in his lunch every day, leave one in his car for him to find before he leaves for work, or make a cute little gift basket to give him all five of them at once! We’ve also included a few adorable love notes that you can write on to leave in his car or with his treats!

Whatever you decide, he will be sure to know you’re thinking of him this Halloween, and that having fun isn’t just for the kids!

Halloween Party Games

Halloween is right around the corner and now is the time to get prepping for all of the Halloween fun! If you are like me, I seem to think I have all the time in the world for Halloween stuff only to put off all the prep until the last week of October.  This year is going to be different.  I am getting an early start on the family Halloween activities, our Halloween costumes, and all of our Halloween traditions.  If you are hosting a Halloween Party with kiddos OR helping out at your child’s classroom party, this month’s freebie is going to be right down your alley! We’ve prepared 3 Halloween themed games that are super easy to prepare but a lot of fun to play!

Game #1: Don’t Eat Pete

This game is so simple but so much fun! Begin by printing out the Don’t Eat Pete Gameboard.  Purchase a bag of small candies like M&M’s or Skittles.  When it’s time to play, place a piece of candy over each of the 12 boxes on the game board.  Then, ask one player to leave the room for a short minute.  With the rest of the players, choose a square that is going to be “Pete” for this round of the game.  The group will have to remember which spot is “Pete” without telling the player who left the room. Ask the player who left the return.  The player will begin by choosing one piece of candy to eat.  If the candy is not located in the “Pete” space the player can eat the piece of candy in peace.  If the player touches a piece of candy that is located in the “Pete” space, the other players will all exclaim, “Don’t Eat Pete!”  The player then has to return that piece of candy to the board and their turn is over. Play until every player has had a turn trying to eat as many pieces of candy without eating Pete.

Game #2: Draw the Jack-O-Lantern

This is a fun game to play with younger children. To play this game, you will need a piece of paper and writing utensil for every player, the Draw the Jack-O-Lantern game printable, and a dice. Each player will take turns rolling the dice.  The dice will reveal a number that matches to a part of the Jack-O-Lantern.  The player who rolled will draw the item of the Jack-O-Lantern on their paper.  For example, if they roll a 2 they would draw the Jack-O-Lantern’s eyes. Each player will continue to roll until they have drawn the entire Jack-O-Lantern.  If they roll a number they had rolled before, their turn is over and it’s the next player’s turn to roll.

Game #3: Halloween Pictionary and Charades

Use these Halloween themed cards to play your choice of Pictionary or charades. To play Pictionary, you will need the charade cards, paper, and some sort of writing utensil OR you can always use mini whiteboards and erasable markers. Divide the group into two teams.  Teams will sit facing one another.  One player from each turn will draw a card together and read one Halloween item to draw.  Then, facing their team (but away from the other team) they will race their opponent to see who can get their team to guess the correct Halloween term the fastest!  For Charades, set a timer for 30 seconds.  Take turns acting out the Halloween words while getting your team to guess the word.  Once a word is guessed correctly, the player acting out will choose another card until the timer runs out.  The team with the most cards guessed correctly wins!  Younger children might enjoy taking turns acting out just one card at a time.

There you have it! Three easy to prep, easy to play Halloween games! AND one more item on your Halloween To-Do Checklist marked off! Happy Halloween!

Halloween Decorations That Are To Die For!

By the time you buy Halloween candy for the whole neighborhood, find the perfect princess dress that your daughter demanded, the blue lightsaber your son requested, and the funny matching t-shirts your husband is barely willing to wear, the last thing you want to do is go dig through storage looking for your Halloween decorations. But don’t you worry, we have got you covered! These easy, stress-free, and adorable Halloween decorations will bring the Halloween spirit into your home in no time!

Freebie Halloween Banner
Freebie Halloween Quote

This banner is so fun and festive designed by the talented Courtney at Paperelli Design! Simply print it out and cut out the shapes. Then, hole punch the corners and string it along! I decided to put two triangles on the ends and put each word on its own string making it a shorter banner. You could also personalize this and do one long banner with a triangle in between the two words and on the ends as well.

And then this quote! Doesn’t it have the best ring to it?! All you have to do is trim it along the lines to fit into an 8×10 frame. You could put it on the fireplace mantle or hang it in your entryway, really put it anywhere!  It matches the banner which I love because they complement each other perfectly!
