Freedom Care Package

It’s almost Independence Day! What are you doing to celebrate? I will be running a 5K, hitting the pool, eating fresh watermelon, and of course, sporting some red, white, and blue attire.  Whenever I am in the patriotic mood, I can’t help but feel gratitude for those who are currently serving or have served to keep our country free.   This month’s freebie, designed by Courtney from Paperelli, is all about giving back to these special people!

Included in this freebie is everything you need to send a patriotic care package.  Send it to someone on active duty or to someone who has served as a special way to say, “Thank you!”.  Use these stars and striped box flaps to decorate the inside of your box.

These patriotic tags are the perfect addition to dress up your care package items or to write notes to the lucky recipient of your package.

Not sure what to put inside? We’ve rounded up the best ideas for items to send to men and women on active duty and whipped up a list for you to reference as you put your care package together.

Simply, add your items, including a nice note, throw in some patriotic tissue paper, and voila! you have yourself a thoughtful care package.

There is nothing more patriotic than giving back to those who have given so much to our country.

4th of July Photo Booth Props

My family {especially my husband} is EXTREMELY patriotic, so the 4th of July is always such a blast! We decorate the house, eat yummy BBQ, invite over friends and just enjoy being American! There’s something so wonderful about a warm summer night, spending time together with loved ones, and celebrating this amazing country we are blessed to be in. Plus, who doesn’t love a good fireworks show?! But one of my absolute FAVORITE parts about the 4th of July is getting all dressed up in red, white, and blue and taking cute pictures with my kiddos! I even start planning their outfits MONTHS ahead of time {did I just admit that?}. My daughter has had her 4th of July dress since before she was born, and she’s 10 months old! So that’s why this year, I wanted to create something to make our pictures EVEN CUTER!
