Thanksgiving Countdown

Can you believe we are already in holiday season territory?  It’s almost Thanksgiving AND this year feels like it has flown by faster than ever. This month’s new freebie is perfect for showing your spouse some love, all while counting down to the day that we celebrate how grateful we are for all that we have.

Preparing your countdown chain is easy.  Print the countdown strips and cut them out. You will want to print however many days worth of strips that you want to do your countdown.  You could do the entire month of November ending on Thanksgiving OR make your chain for the week before Thanksgiving.  On each slip of paper, write a specific thing that your spouse does (or a specific quality) that you are grateful for.

Connect your strips of paper together at the ends to make a ring.  Using a staple, connect the ends together. One staple in the middle of the two ends should do the trick.

Next, create a new link by threading the strip of paper through the original link. Continue this process until your entire gratitude chain is complete.  Hang your gratitude chain in your bedroom or in a place your spouse will see every day.

Each day leading up to Thanksgiving, your spouse will “undo” one of the links to read one of the ways you are grateful for them.  Each day your spouse will feel your gratitude.  The few minutes you took to make your chain will pay off in dividends!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Give Thanks Banners

Thanksgiving is the absolute best time of year.  It’s a holiday pretty much centered around FOOD and FAMILY so what’s not to like about that? This month’s freebie is an adorable one to remind you all season long to be grateful for what you have.

We’ve teamed up with Nichelle of Nichelle Lora Designs to create 4 cute-as-can-be banners (striped style is pictured above).  These “Give Thanks” banners are a quick and easy way to decorate for Thanksgiving without too much prep or hassle.  We recommend that you print these beauties on thick cardstock.  Once they are cut out, punch a hole in each corner.  Then, string your thread through and your banner is complete! It’s just that simple!

If you are wanting a simple and easy way to hang your banner, we suggest damage free command hooks.  You can simply place the hooks where you need them and remove them once the season is over damage free! They are a true life saver when you want to hang your banner in the perfect spot but you don’t want to risk peeling off paint with tape or nailing into the wall. Now the hardest part…which of the 4 adorable designs will you choose? Enjoy your Thanksgiving Banners!

Gratitude Tree

Each year, during Thanksgiving, as my family gathers around the table, we take turns sharing what we are grateful for.  It’s become a wonderful tradition in our household and it brings us all back to what is truly important in our lives.  This year, I wanted to find a way to keep a grateful heart all month long.  With the help of the talented Courtney of Paperelli, we designed a gorgeous print to display in your home ALL November long! This little keepsake is the perfect way to remember all that you have been blessed with during this season of gratitude.

To make this adorable Thanksgiving print, you will need the printables included below, scissors, a pen or fine tip marker, and some double-sided tape or a glue stick.

Download the printables below and cut out each individual leaf from the printed leaf pages (pages 2 and 3).

With the help of your family and loved ones, write a piece of gratitude onto each leaf.  When your thankful list is complete, tape or glue each leaf on top of your tree print.

There you have it!  A perfect reminder of all that there is to be grateful for this year.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Amanda {one of the newest members of our design team whose talent blows us away! You seriously need to check out her stuff!} created this simple, yet perfect, design that prints directly on to a paper bag!

All you need to do is print off the page 1 template

And follow the instructions on the page by adhering a bag right on the outlined rectangle. I made sure the bottom of my bag touched the bottom line and then wrapped the top of the bag over my template to make sure it fed into the printer without getting jammed {and it also made the placement of the text perfect!}

One of my FAVORITE ways to decorate for the Fall

is with a pretty leaf garland!
