Dessert Cooking Competition Date Night
If you are anything like us, then you know that dessert is always a good idea. Simple as that! So a dessert themed date night is sure to be a hit! Mix in a little competition and you’ve got yourself a dessert cooking competition date night, my friends. Picture this: Have you seen Cutthroat Kitchen? How about Chopped? Well, our Dessert-Off date night is the best of both of those competitive cooking worlds. Grab your significant other, a few friends {they’ll need to bring their spouses too} and get ready to have a hilarious, but hopefully decadent, dessert competition date night full of secret ingredients and special challenges.

These PERFECT printables were put together by our girl Courtney from Paperelli. Courtney is one of our go-to-girls for all things beautiful and she OVER-delivered this time.
First things first: you should know there are 2 types of delicious maca-desserts.
Macaroon {Mack-a-roon} = a coconut confection sometimes dipped in chocolate.
Macaron {Mack-a-Rohn} = an almond flour cookie sandwich.
The pronunciation is key for this punny invite….
Dessert Competition Invites
Get it?! I love it. Ok So get a group together and invite away! Simply print as many copies of the macron invite as needed for your dessert competition and fill out that info. Now here’s the fun part – you are going to fold it into a macaron! Just fold those dotted lines and make a little cookie invite that no one could refuse. Here’s a hint: use good quality cardstock to really make these invites come together!
There are a few options for this date night – we love the idea of having the husbands do all the cooking while the wives just chat, but you could also do each couple or wives for husbands.
In preparation for the date, you need to send the cooks off to the grocery store. We have 2 different shopping lists available – 1 has suggestions and some blanks for each contestant to choose one of their own ingredients. The other shopping list is all blank so that you can customize your creations – BUT each contestant MUST use the same core ingredients – with the exception of their wild card.
Dessert Competition
Once the contestants are back at the house give them a time limit and tell them to get going! At some point, you are going to start handing out CHALLENGES! Each cook will receive some sort of challenge to make this dessert competition a little higher risk! This is a great time to kick back with your favorite drink {Dr. Pepper all the way!} and giggle at the cooks. Don’t get too complacent though, your turn is next!
When the dessert competition is done it’s judging time! We have an easy little score sheet where you judge each dessert in 4 categories and once they are all judged, combine scores to find the winners!
Enjoy this decadent dessert competition date night!
